The Zhiyun-Tech WEEBILL-S boasts a more compact size, as well as new functions and integrates the underslung mode design of its predecessor, the WEEBILL LAB. The underslung mode may be easily switched to thanks to the design of the sling mode, which also improves handling in all other modes. The stabilising algorithm and improved motors are additional benefits. The motor torque of the WEEBILL-S is 300% greater, and the response is 50% greater. As a result, you may more easily balance camera/lens combinations like the Canon 5D Mark IV with 24-70mm zoom lens.
The TransMount Image Transmission Module, a small device designed to elegantly fit beneath the quick release plate of the WEEBILL-S and enable wireless streaming of up to 1080p30 resolution over distances up to 328', is being introduced alongside the WEEBILL-S as an optional accessory. Using the appropriate receiver modules, up to three devices, including smartphones, tablets, and even professional displays, can be synchronised.
For more effective gimbal control, the companion Zhiyun-Tech ZY Play software for iOS and Android has been updated to function with the Image Transmission Module. With the help of the module, the app's SmartFollow 2.0 functionality enables precise object tracking right from the app. Real-time observation and synchronised motion control are made possible by a programme called Sync Motion. Standard features have also received enhancements, such as ViaTouch 2.0, which enables you to operate your camera and gimbal's different settings and functions from the screen of your smartphone. These consist of follow speed, ISO, aperture, and more in addition to zoom and focus when supported. Creative capture tools like Panorama, Timelapse, Motionlapse, and Long Exposure Timelapse are among the other features you may find in the ZY Play app.
There are six different ways to operate the WEEBILL-S. These include Vortex Mode, which enables 360° barrel shots, and Full-Range POV Mode, which enables 360° synchronous movement on all three dimensions. The descriptions of all six modes are provided in the Features section that follows. Other features of the gimbal include Intelligent Auto-Tune, which detects the weight of your camera automatically and adjusts to it to deliver the highest level of power efficiency. The WEEBILL-battery S's life has also been extended to up to 14 hours.
When used with compatible cameras, the WEEBILL-S enables for electronic focus control. The built-in handwheel is used for this. Using extra motors, the gimbal additionally provides mechanical focus and zoom control. The TransMount motors and all other TransMount accessories that were compatible with the previous generation are supported by the WEEBILL-S. One of these is the Quick Setup Adapter Set, which was introduced and has since gained a lot of popularity.
A storage case and an Arca Swiss/Manfrotto dual-layer fast release plate are among the many extras included with the WEEBILL-S. A miniature tripod that serves as both a support and an extension handle is also provided. The small tripod completes the gimbal for low-mode, underslung operation. To serve as an overhead handle, it fastens to the rear handle.
Please Note: The WEEBILL-S doesn't support many 3rd-party 18650 batteries because it requires the slightly shorter kind made by Zhiyun-Tech, so only Zhiyun-Tech 18650 batteries are recommended.
Improved Design
The WEEBILL-S adopts the WEEBILL LAB's back handle design but in a smaller package with additional functions. These include stabilising algorithms and greatly improved motors.
TransMount Image Transmission Module
The TransMount Image Transmission Module, which will soon be available as an option, is compatible with the WEEBILL-S. This little module fits under the gimbal's mounting plate and transmits video in 1080p30 at up to 328 feet to the appropriate receivers. You can stream to up to three devices at once because up to three receivers are supported. Tablets, cellphones, and some displays are all compatible.
Upgraded ZY Play App
The companion ZY Play iOS/Android app has been upgraded to work together with the optional TransMount Image Transmission Module to provide an enhanced workflow. Many features, such as ViaTouch 2.0, have also been upgraded to work independently of the Image Transmission Module.
6 Modes of Operation
Allows 360° synchronous movement on all three axes. This ensures that instead of leveling off during motion, the camera will remain locked in position no matter how far you move the gimbal in a certain direction, allowing for true POV shots.
Vortex Mode
Create 360° barrel shots.
Go Mode
Operate at maximum follow speed for extreme sports and similar applications.
PF Mode
The camera pans as you turn the gimbal left and right. This feature is highly useful for hyperlapse capture.
F Mode
The camera will follow the movement of the gimbal handle.
L Mode
Keep your subject in focus when you mimic dolly or jib movements.
