Pocket-Sized 360° Video
The Insta360 X3 360° Camera can record high definition 360° and single-lens footage with only one compact action camera thanks to an updated 1/2" sensor and wider touchscreen. The X3 delivers a design that is ready for action together with AI-powered software for a natural method of generating dynamic content in any setting. Its tough IPX8 construction is waterproof by default up to 33', and it includes a built-in rechargeable 1800mAh battery for longer shooting sessions.
5.7K 360° Video, 4K Single-Lens Mode
The X3's dual 360° lenses can easily take up to 5.7K video and 72MP pictures. When using a single lens, you can capture 4K video at up to 30 frames per second. On MaxView mode with 2.7K resolution for 170° wide-angle photos.
Audio Algorithm Updates
Stereo audio may be recorded on the X3 with less wind noise and 360° augmentation. The X3 captures more organic and balanced sounds than its predecessor thanks to four built-in microphones and an improved audio algorithm. When your camera is attached to a head strap or selfie stick that is out of your reach, you can still change your settings with Voice Control 2.0.
AI-Powered Reframing
While you switch between various camera settings, AI reframing technologies automatically reframe your photo in 360°. "Me" Mode records video up to 1080p at 30 and 60 frames per second and gives the appearance of an invisible selfie stick. The effect supports 16:9 and 9:16 aspect ratios and produces the equivalent of 5.7K reframing. No matter how your selfie stick is set up, our AI interface captures aerial viewpoints and third-person perspectives without the need to reframe your video in post-production.
Ultrasmooth, Stabilized Footage
The 6-axis gyroscope and FlowState Stabilization technology of the X3 ensure that your footage is kept steady. By keeping your video steady while you move and retaining clarity in the highlights and shadows for more colourful footage, 360° active HDR mode is especially made for action sports like ziplining and mountain biking. The camera may freely swivel while maintaining a level skyline thanks to horizon lock, which maintains the horizontal plane of your film in a constant manner.
New Recording Modes
- Shoot up to 8K 360° timelapse and 4K resolution slow-motion bullet time video at 120 fps.
- Pre-recording mode helps anticipate the action before it happens by beginning a recording 15 to 30 seconds before the shutter is pressed. This ensures you capture the exact moment you reel in the big fish of the day or surf the best wave. When enabled, the camera records audio and video continuously for the interval of your choice, but it only saves to your SD card when the shutter is pressed.
- Loop recording continuously records video while simultaneously saving every minute of recording into separate files. This saves memory card space and can turn the X3 into a dashcam.
Upgraded Controls and Monitoring
- A larger 2.29" touchscreen on the back of the camera provides a clear view of your footage as you shoot it. Four operating buttons with vibration feedback toggle between shooting modes for quick control.
- 50% faster Wi-Fi and upgraded Bluetooth 5.0 technology provide faster file transfers compared to the previous model for faster editing with the iOS/Android app.
AI Editing and Photo Animator
You can quickly edit videos for social media using the Insta360 software on your smartphone. It has new modes and effects. Simple templates like Nose Mode, Sky Swap, and Street Lapse are offered in a continuously updated collection of unique effects. Using AI facial recognition and pre-set effects, the app can use the Photo Animator to convert your 360° photographs into animated films.
