This 24mm f/1.8 AF Compact Autofocus Lens from Samyang is made for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras and offers a 36mm equivalent focal length when used on an APS-C camera body. It combines a wide-angle perspective with a quick maximum aperture. The lens's design includes two extra-low dispersion elements, three high refractive index elements, and two aspherical elements to help reduce aberrations and distortions for improved sharpness and clarity. All lens elements have also been coated with Ultra Multi-Coating to lessen lens flare and ghosting for improved contrast and colour fidelity. The bright f/1.8 maximum aperture excels in challenging lighting situations and provides more flexibility in determining the depth of field and where to place the focus. For the best focus control, the lens barrel includes a focus hold button and a custom function switch in addition to the Linear STM autofocus motor. The diaphragm with nine blades creates bokeh.
