The Sony E-mount AF 35mm f/1.8 FE from Samyang is a wide-angle prime mixing a lightweight and portable design with a bright f/1.8 maximum aperture. It offers an effective spin on a popular focal length. Two extra-low dispersion elements and two aspherical elements are used in the optical design, which helps to reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations for better clarity, colour accuracy, and sharpness. In order to increase contrast when working in bright lighting conditions, an Ultra Multi-Coating has also been applied to reduce flare and ghosting. For quick, quiet, and accurate focusing performance, the lens' linear STM autofocus motor works in tandem with the AF systems of Sony cameras. For more precise control, manual focus override is also an option. Additionally, a Custom Switch enables turning the lens's focusing ring to make simple adjustments to a number of camera and exposure settings.
