The sharp f/1.8 maximum aperture offers better depth of field control and is suitable for use in a variety of lighting situations. A five stop-effective image stabilisation that reduces the appearance of camera shake for sharper handheld shooting completes the picture. Additionally, an STM motor offers full-time manual focus override in addition to impressively quiet and smooth autofocus performance.
