DJI RS 2 3-Axis Gimbal Stabilizer (Pro Combo) for DSLR and Mirrorless Camera

DESCRIPTION

The DJI RS 2 Pro Combo includes a number of extra accessories in addition to the RS 2 gimbal to offer a more complete workflow. The DJI Ronin RavenEye Image Transmission System is a significant upgrade that enables 330' of 1080p video transmission from the gimbal with a latency of just 50ms for on-set collaboration. A focus motor, phone holder, two focus gears, and three HDMI cables are among the additional extras.

A newer version of the Ronin-S gimbal with a payload capacity of up to 10 lb is called the RS 2. Monocoque carbon fiber axis arms and a shorter grip handle with a smaller battery cartridge, though it still has a 12-hour runtime, make it about 25% lighter and more compact. The motors support cameras like the Blackmagic Pocket 6K, Canon 1D X Mark III, Sony a7S III, and ALEXA Mini LF and are about 20% more powerful.

The 1.4" full-color LCD touchscreen on the RS 2 also gives you access to gimbal settings and features like time-lapse and hyperlapse that were previously only available through the companion mobile app.

The DJI Titan stabilization algorithm is used by the RS 2 to provide better stabilization with increased smoothness. A built-in feature called SuperSmooth complements the algorithm in applications with up to 100mm zoom lenses by accounting for micromovements and increasing torque to produce fluid motion (an optional lens support is required).

Two RSA ports with electrical contacts for specific accessories are also present, and each port has a NATO mount for the quick attachment of these extras. On the left and right sides of the gimbal, there are RSA ports available. Focus wheel, twist-grip dual handles, and a universal mount are among the supported add-ons for securely mounting the gimbal to a vehicle, jib, or slider.

Along with the typical time-lapse and panorama features, the companion Ronin iOS/Android app offers a variety of creative features. Roll motion and hyperlapse are used in Time Tunnel to "twist" space and time. To create a repeatable camera movement path for a carefully choreographed shot, use track. The gimbal is made to move in accordance with your smartphone by Force Mobile. Using the included RavenEye transmission system will also give Force Mobile better responsiveness. When utilizing the RavenEye's ActiveTrack feature, you can also show a live view of your subjects on the touchscreen.

The Manfrotto plus Arca-Swiss dual-layer camera mounting system for the RS 2 has two detachable quick release plates. By pressing a button, the gimbal can be adjusted to place your camera in portrait mode for social media content. The RS 2 has an axis lock on each axis, allowing you to unlock and balance one axis at a time. This allows you to effectively balance your camera. You can further fine-tune the balance for your camera using a fine-tune balancing knob.

A battery cartridge that is fastened to the grip handle that comes with the gimbal allows it to operate for up to 12 hours. It is simple to replace the cartridge with an alternative that is available separately. The grip has a USB Type-C port that can be used to recharge the cartridge, and you can remove the grip entirely from the gimbal to do so. Both the PD and QC 2.0 charging protocols work with the BG30 grip. DJI strongly advises using a 24W charger, which is not provided. A full recharge of the battery using 24W fast charging takes about 1.5 hours.

The RS 2 comes with a waterproof carry case that has separate compartments for the various gimbal parts and important accessories. Additionally, a mini tripod is provided, which fastens to a 1/4"-20 thread on the grip handle to serve as a stand or an extension handle for two-handed control of the gimbal in some circumstances.
